Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

Compensation: $115,000–$120,000/year + $10,000 signing bonus
Bonus payout: $5,000 at 30 days and $5,000 at 180 days of active employment

As our Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, you’ll develop accurate job plans, coordinate materials and labor (including contractors), and publish a frozen weekly schedule that keeps our operation safe, compliant, and productive.
What You’ll Do
- Review and scope maintenance requests for fixed and rotating equipment.
- Develop detailed job plans including steps, labor, parts lists, materials, tools, drawings, and permits.
- Build and standardize PM tasks following OEM recommendations, HACCP, food safety protocols, and chemical process safety practices.
- Develop frozen weekly maintenance schedules and coordinate with Production, QA, and EHS.
- Manage contractor scheduling, kitting, procurement coordination, and CMMS master data.
- Support PSM Mechanical Integrity programs and ensure compliance with OSHA 1910.119.
What You Bring
Required
- 3–5+ years in maintenance planning/scheduling or execution in chemical, petrochemical, or food‑grade manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of rotating equipment, utilities, instrumentation, and process equipment.
- Experience with a CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM).
- Ability to read P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of industrial safety: LOTO, confined space, hot work, PSM.
Preferred
- A.S./B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or related).
- CMRP or SMRP Planning & Scheduling certification.
- Experience in a PSM‑covered facility and with GMP/HACCP standards.
How We Measure Success
- ≥ 90% PM/PdM compliance
- ≥ 80–90% schedule compliance (frozen weekly schedule)
- Backlog maintained within 2–4 weeks
- Reduced reactive work and improved wrench time
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in production areas and climb stairs/ladders as needed.
- Walk/stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Wear required PPE and work in hot/cold environments as site conditions require.
